Investigation of the effect of different sports activities on the neurodevelopment and functioning of the central nervous system among children of preschool and elementary school age.
Supervisor: SZENTPÉTERI L., József
Previous studies have demonstrated the interaction between regular judo sport practice and the development of various neuromotor, cognitive, and psychosocial competencies in preschool-aged children. The results open the door for further research to explore the specific neuromotor mechanisms activated by regular practice of both judo and other sports and the potential long-term cognitive and psychosocial benefits of them.
The positive correlation between regular judo training and neurodevelopmental measures suggests that education systems should integrate structured physical programs to support children's holistic development. Our research aims to provide evidence-based recommendations for integrating specific sports into educational curricula to support and improve children's cognitive and central nervous system health.
